To give your child the special care he or she deserves, the Pedi Q Department provides outpatient tests and treatments for diagnostic purposes. It is designed for children who have been seen by a physician and require further care.

If your physician orders outpatient treatment or tests to complete your child’s diagnosis, our Pedi Q pediatric testing department is equipped and staffed to quickly perform these procedures in a “kid-friendly” manner.

Upon arriving at the Pedi Q, your child will be promptly registered for care. The Pedi Q staff of skilled pediatric nurses, pediatric technicians, aides and phlebotomists will perform the treatments or tests your doctor has ordered. Your physician may opt to have you wait until the test results are ready. As soon as your child’s test results have arrived, your physician will be contacted.

Pedi Q is located on the first floor of the central part of the hospital on 1 West. Directional signs are posted for your convenience.

Regular Pedi Q hours:

• Monday – Friday: 9 am – 7 pm
• Saturday: 8 am – noon

Expanded Winter Hours (late November to May):

• Monday – Friday: 9 am – 9 pm
• Saturday – Sunday: 9 am – 5 pm

• Rapid strep testing
• Influenza testing
• RSV testing
• Oxygen saturation
• Rotavirus testing
• Monospots
• Catherized specimens
• Wound cultures
• Antibiotic administration
• Simple IV hydration
• Laboratory tests
• EKG
• Respiratory therapy
• Non-sedated radiology
